What is a Master of Wine and WSET Diploma holder?
The Master of Wine title is generally accepted as the most rigorous qualification in the wine industry. There are approximately 300 Masters of Wine in the world.
The Diploma in Wine & Spirits is the highest qualification offered by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, the world’s largest wine education organization. It consists of a two-year course covering winemaking, wine regions and their laws, grape varieties and sensory evaluation, as well as the commercial aspects of the wine trade. The Diploma is the stepping-stone for entrance into the Master of Wine program.
Are Vitis' prices really the best?
We always offer the best prices (including shipping) available online. We guarantee it. If you happen to find another website selling the same wine for less (including shipping) within 24 hours of a particular sale, we will match their price. Other retailers try to disguise their high prices by leaving out shipping to artificially “lower” the total cost. We call their bluff. Our best price guarantee is based on the cost of a bottle plus the cost of shipping, so bear that in mind when scouring the Internet for a better deal. Other retailers sometimes go one step further by trying to sell you wine they do not actually stock (but say they can get). Where is that great wine I saw on sale yesterday?
Each wine we sell is offered in limited supply until it is sold out. Some offerings last minutes, while others remain available for just a few hours. If you see something that interests you then seize the moment and buy a few bottles! A new wine will be offered as soon as the previous wine is sold out.

Am I going to get a ton of emails from Vitis?
That’s entirely up to you. In order to ensure that our customers look forward to receiving our emails, we’ve developed unique Email Preferences and Wine Preferences that allow you to control the frequency and type of deals that you receive. Once you have logged into your account you can set your preferences in My Account so that you only receive wine offerings that interest you!
What is the deal with shipping?
Shipping is included in all of our offers because we want buying wine online to be just as easy and inexpensive as buying it from your local shop. Each offer requires that a minimum number of bottles be purchased for shipping to be included (the minimum amount varies from offer to offer, but is never more than 6 bottles).
We ship via FedEx Ground and will provide customers with a tracking number as soon as your wine ships. Due to the large volume of wine that we ship most orders will be shipped within one to two days from when your order is placed. FedEx 2Day and Standard Overnight are also available for an additional charge.
If you purchase less than the minimum number of bottles required for shipping to be included, we’ll simply calculate the cost of shipment upon check out.
Please note that Vitis only ships within the continental United States. Due to draconian laws, we do not ship to the following states at this time: AL, AK, DE, HI, KY, MD, MA, MS, MT, NJ, OK, PA, RI, TX, UT.
Please note that you must be 21 years of age or older to purchase wine from Vitis. Upon delivery, FedEx will require an adult over the age of 21 to be present with a valid ID to sign for all packages.

During extreme heat in the summer months, we may hold shipments to your area in our temperature-controlled warehouse. We will always notify you of this before you place an order. There is no cost for this service; we offer it to ensure the integrity of your wine. If you feel this may be a problem because of a time sensitive package, please contact Val to discuss other solutions.
What is Vitis' refund policy?
There is bad wine and there is wine gone bad; the first is subjective, while the second is simply a shame. At Vitis, we work hard to ensure that you never have to encounter a defective bottle of wine or one that is not to your liking. We will happily refund any purchase that leaves you with a bad taste. Simply contact Val with your order number and your concern so that we can resolve the issue by offering a replacement (when available), a store credit or a full refund.
